Each year we collect Box Tops to support our school and aid us in offering extra benefits to our members. This year Box Tops proceeds allowed us to provide early registrants with Homeschool Enrichment magazine subscriptions, and for those interested, it has provided a premium, no-ad environment for Spelling City, an online spelling/vocabulary program. In addition, those who help ECS in collecting Box Tops are offered field trip credits with Birmingham Homeschoolers Community or tuition credits for next year. The more participation we have the greater reward for everyone!
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Clip your box tops as neatly as possible. (Saves on shipping costs)
2. Place in baggies of no more than 50 box tops in each baggie. (Please check for expired tops as you bag…thanks!)
3. Mark baggie with your name and number of box tops. (This lets us know who shares in the credits collected.)
When Essential receives the proceeds (at the first of the year for fall collection, and early summer for the spring collection), a portion is allotted for credits, and this portion is divided equally between those who participated (as detailed from your marked baggies). You will be contacted to let us know how you would prefer your credits to be applied…either toward next year’s tuition or toward future field trips with Birmingham Homeschoolers Community.
Our first collection for the school year is THIS FRIDAY, October 26th. You can also mail your baggies/box tops for receipt by Friday to Essential Church School, PO Box 382034, Birmingham, AL 35238-2034. For further details, please contact us by email.
