7th Annual Thanksgiving Feast

We will join BHC for a potluck lunch.  Bring something savory and something sweet to share.  Along with the playground area, crafts and a scavenger hunt will be provided to keep us moving and interacting together. A BHC Christmas 2014

Kingwood Church Gym 100 Harvest Way, Alabaster, AL, United States

We will join BHC in celebrating the Christmas holidays.  We will share sweets together (bring a favorite to share), then students will participate in activities and games for prizes.  Our time will end with an interactive re-telling of the Christmas story from the Bible.

Ice Skating Day 2015

Pelham Civic Center 500 Amphitheater Road, Pelham, AL, United States

We will join Birmingham Homeschoolers Community for a day of winter fun!  No need to RSVP or register.   You can pay a BHC representative at the door (or pre-pay online on BHC website) for a special group rate of $8.50 which includes the skate rental.  Remember that if you arrive after 11:15am, you will have to pay the individual rate to the skating rink directly.  (Some families have secured significant discounted individual tickets through LivingSocial) We hope to see you there and join us afterwards for lunch at the 119 Chick-Fil-A at 1pm.  

Valentine’s Day Party 2015

We will join BHC for probably the largest valentine swap in the country!  Be creative and compete in the annual valentine mailbox contest, or bring a simple collection box or bag.  Don't forget at least 50 valentines to share, as well as a treat for the snack table. Refresh: A Homeschool Moms’ Retreat

Birmingham Homeschool Fair and Curriculum Share

Essential Church School is excited about being an exhibitor at this local informational event for homeschool families, and for potential homeschool families. We encourage you to come and explore all that Birmingham has to offer you.  Share this event with your favorite homeschool resources---coops, tutorials, classes, teachers, gyms, field trips, etc. If you are able and would like to help at our table, please let us know.  The community would probably prefer talking to someone who actually uses our services and hearing about your experiences.
