We are taking our verses from a booklet by Barbara Arbo called True Confessions for Children. This booklet is no longer in print, but we have gained permission to share this. These “confessions” are statements of faith based on God’s Word. This week’s “confession” is:
My mommy rejoices that she ever bore me and my daddy is glad he’s the father of a wise child.
Let’s encourage our children in the love that we have for them and in the promises of God’s Word. The verse that this confession is based on is Proverbs 23:24-25:
The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him. May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice! – NIV
