A select group of high school students from around Alabama will learn more about leadership, civics, and U.S. history during the Trojan Patriot Academy this summer, presented by Troy University and American Village.
This five-night camp, set for June 9-14, 2024, is designed to expose students to leadership practices and ideals through the lens of the Founding Fathers. Participants will spend the first two days at the beautiful Troy University campus in Troy, learning about servant leadership, followed by a trip to Montgomery to meet state leaders, tour the statehouse, and learn about Civil Rights during a stop at the Rosa Parks Museum.
The camp will end with a stay at American Village in Montevallo, where students will take part in an immersive educational experience, getting a first-hand look at the leadership principles that shaped America’s founding. This unique experience will allow students to connect with other young leaders from around the state and grow as citizens ready to make a positive impact.
